INTRASTAT is the System for Statistics of Trade in Goods between EU member states.

The introduction of the INTRASTAT system in Poland (since May 1, 2004) imposes an obligation on entities conducting trade in goods with other EU member states to provide information on their transactions, i.e., on the import of goods from the EU to Poland – intra-community acquisition and the export of goods from Poland to the EU – intra-community supply.

INTRASTAT declarations are submitted monthly. It is a collective, monthly report on imports and exports of goods.

The obligation to submit INTRASTAT declarations applies to entrepreneurs who have achieved turnover exceeding the value of the so-called statistical thresholds.
