Carnet ATA

Carnet ATA is an international customs document that simultaneously serves as an application for permission to use the temporary admission procedure, a customs declaration, and a document securing import duties. It is a practical solution for entrepreneurs and event organizers, allowing the temporary export of goods without the need to pay customs duties and taxes.

The ATA Carnet can be used for goods exported for acquisition and exhibition purposes, such as samples or commercial materials, goods intended for fairs and exhibitions, as well as professional equipment. This document is valid for 12 months; however, it is important to comply with the return export deadline set by the relevant customs authority.

Legal basis for using the ATA Carnet:

  • The Customs Convention on the ATA Carnet for the Temporary Admission of Goods (ATA Convention), signed in Brussels on December 6, 1961 (Dz. U. Nr 30 z 1969 r. poz. 242), referred to as the "ATA Convention".
  • The Convention on Temporary Admission, signed in Istanbul on June 26, 1990 (Dz. U. Nr 14 z 1998 r. poz. 61 and Dz. U. z 2002 r. Nr 198, poz. 1668), referred to as the "Istanbul Convention".
